TOXIC TEETH - TOXIC BODY
Are "Silver" Fillings Making You Sick?

MERCURY-FREE DENTISTS FEAR REPRISAL FOR SPEAKING IN PUBLIC!

Join Philadelphia physician, Frederick D. Burton, MD, and educated dental consumers for a free public forum on the health hazards of MERCURY amalgam dental fillings. Local and national activist Freya Koss of Wynnewood, will be one of the panelists sharing the serious impact of dental mercury poisoning on her health. Also, learn why mercury-free dentists originally scheduled to speak at this meeting cancelled in fear of reprisal for speaking publicly about their work. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bala Cynwyd Library, 2nd floor, Old Lancaster and North Highland Ave., Bala Cynwyd.

Amalgam Fillings are composed of more than 50% MERCURY, the second most toxic non-radioactive element on the face of this earth besides plutonium. They have been scientifically linked to Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Depression, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's Disease, in addition to harming fetal development. Learn from Dr. Burton, an innovative medical professional, how he has successfully treated Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue and other associated illnesses, while dental consumers will offer their personal journeys back to health through amalgam removal and detoxification.

Recently, this "hot" medical and dental issue has lit a fire under U.S. Representatives Dan Burton (R-IN) and Diane Watson (D-CA). They have introduced Congressional bill, Mercury in Dental Fillings Disclosure and Prohibition Act which would abolish the use of MERCURY in dentistry. A Congressional hearing is scheduled for May 7, to hear further expert testimony on the extreme health hazards of mercury in amalgam. Currently the Pennsylvania Dental Association and Philadelphia County Dental Society endorse The American Dental Association's position that mercury amalgams are stable, safe and effective, despite overwhelming scientific proof that mercury, an acute neuro-toxin, constantly leaches from these fillings by entering and harming the brain and other parts of the body. Although the FDA warns pregnant women and children about the dangers of MERCURY in fish, most states do not give such warnings about dental fillings.

Federal and state legislative efforts to abolish MERCURY amalgam will be discussed by Charles Brown, former Attorney General of West Virginia and legal counsel for the Coalition to Abolish Mercury Dental Fillings, a group of dentists, physicians and environmentalists who oppose the use of mercury-based dental fillings. He'll also highlight The American Dental Association's intentionally misleading term "silver" for amalgam fillings. Outraged, Brown says: "To call them mercury-silver fillings would be okay, or just mercury fillings. But not to mention the MERCURY at all is hiding something".

Brown will also address the "Gag Act," which the ADA has used to prevent dentists from telling their patients the truth about the dangers of MERCURY in dental fillings. It's outrageous, Brown has said, that the ADA enforced the gag rule while holding two patents to amalgam. Even though the ADA claims that they no longer enforce the gag rule, mercury-free dentists still fear their power and ability to label them unethical which could lead to revocation of their licenses by their state boards.

Have you as a dental consumer ever been told by your dentist that your "silver" colored fillings fillings contained 50% MERCURY? Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn how your health and quality of life can be improved by addressing dental mercury as a root cause of illness, rather than simply treating symptoms.

Sponsored by DAMS (Dental Amalgam Mercury Syndrome), a national non-profit volunteer organization educating the public and supporting those who have illnesses related to mercury from amalgam dental fillings.
